Ryan reynolds isnt the right catch for a heroic character for a heroic role. he seems to manage as a smooth talker and a lady's man. Generally the adapted animation has Green Lantern to be a black american (John Stewart) from the Justice League. we have a lot of whites doing well in the industry of Super heroes. Samuel L Jackson would prove a difference with the upcoming Nick Fury (shown after the credits of Iron Man) to be released in 2012.
I would suggest if we portray a black-american to do role. My ideal pick for a muscular built fella would be Michael Jai White. thats attitude and a fella you wouldn't want to mess with. His performance on Blood and bone, Black dynamite, Spawn sends the message across.
Plus he should be a leader in the Justice league because he can out beat Superman as he can include Simulated Krypton radiations. Unbeatable in short.
